I would say that I feel like a child who just got his lördagsgodis (Saturday’s candy) but this is definitely way better for my teeth 🙂 + I get to enjoy it a lot longer.

PS: not sponsored 🙂

While I miss having great art supply shops in our area in Sweden, we are lucky to have great webshops, so when I couldn’t hold on any longer to my wishlist, I ordered new markers (great for traveling), pan-pastels, and an extra sketchbook. (The coral one had a nice discount)

The first thing I do when new supplies arrive is swatch them in a sketchbook. This way I get a first impression of the colors (this can be tricky when you order online), and how they behave.
Then I make small cards for my collection- I have a big box with swatches from every material I own- and use them to make color palettes, and to find new combinations.

From this order, the Ecoline brush pen in the color ‘Mahogany’ was the biggest surprise. I almost didn’t order it, was surprised by the color, and fell in love. Paired with the Ecoline brush pen in Saffron yellow, it’s very satisfying.

I’ve also been looking for a nice coral marker and the Tombow was immediately my favorite, but the Stabilo proved to be its best friend to add depth in certain sketches.
