Inktober 2024, week 3
Another inky week flew by!
Inktober Week 3 has been a mix of creativity, exploration, and catching up! Although I skipped one prompt, I made up for it by diving deeper into different techniques and experimenting with new textures and styles. From playing with collage to mixing analog and digital, this week has been about pushing boundaries and playing. Even with the missed day, the challenge continues, so let’s look back at how week 3 unfolded.
Previous weeks:
– week one
– week two
15. Guidebook (the power of books)
16. Grungy (lonely cabin)
For this cabin, I made two prints (from one plate) and asked my Instagram followers which version they liked the most- and they all preferred my personal favorite :).
17. Journal (skipped this one)
18. Drive (into the night)
19. Ridge
20. Uncharted (blip, you’re gone)
At this moment, a few prints for next week are drying on the ‘clothesline’ in the studio, and a few sketches are waiting to be finalized. I have a rather busy week, but I’m doing my best!
If you’re working/struggling through Inktober, remember that it’s all about progress, not perfection. Missing a prompt or trying something new is part of the process, so don’t worry if things don’t go exactly as planned – I don’t love every result, but done is better than perfect. Each prompt is an opportunity to explore and grow, even in small ways. Keep going, enjoy the journey, and trust that each sketch adds to your improvement!
See you next week!
