The past month, I added daily sketching back to my routine.
Sometimes, when life is busy, uncertain, or challenging, sketching and doodling can feel like a waste of time. As if filling up pages with random thoughts, colors, or ideas isn’t valuable because the effect isn’t measurable right away.

On the other hand, doodling and sketching are great ways to test some ideas, to experiment with colors or materials, to get some thought onto paper before they disappear.

But most of all, I do it for the discipline of training my focus and daily practice as I feel that got lost in the Covid-maelstrom. I know where I want to get back to and what it takes to get there.
