Spring is here, is it?
Only a few weeks ago I was still playing with the ice in that first warm sun of the new year. The movement of melting ice floating on the deep blue surface is hypnotizing and the sounds unique. Every day since there is a bit more of spring taking over. The ice melts as we watch it, delicate flowers pop up and the sound of spring is everywhere- gently in the wings of the first flies, loud and impressive when the cranes arrive.
While the sun was warm and inviting, once sunken behind tall trees, the cold grabbed us by the neck, leading us back home to a hot cup of tea.
By now the ice is gone and as temperatures rise and we get all ready for long summer evenings, just then, the weather reports show us a week of snow coming up. Would it? Really? I’m afraid it will turn into rain, but I will be jumping around of pure joy if we would get snow 🙂
Perhaps I’ll wait just a bit longer before I put away all my warm winter sweaters 🙂 (until after Midsommar probably)
