There is this specific tension, joy, and excitement when starting something new like a lino piece. While I often work without sketches and just start painting and working through the material, with lino it works differently. A sketch is transferred to the linoleum and thoughtfully cut away.
I’m still considering making this one a two colored print, but first I’ll have to get some troubleshooting done as I haven’t figured out the best way to print lino with my small press and the type of ink that I have now.
