When we drive from our little village in the woods to Stockholm, it’s like entering another world. Perhaps, in a way, a world that we know. A place of energy and color but also noise and impatience.Wednesday Wanderings (09)| A day in Södermalm, Stockholm | Wanderlust Sweden | www.Fenne.be
When we traveled through Sweden before moving here, we didn’t really pay attention between the difference between the city and the countryside. It was just all ‘Sweden’. And to us it felt so open, calm and green compared to Antwerp or Brussels.
And now , like two cavemen crawling out into the light, I hear the different kind of music in the shops, notice the different kind of clothes that people wear, the different pace of life and the way people interact. I wonder what makes us rush through a supermarkt or what makes us walk fast or slow. Are we really in a hurry? Is it a habit or rather an attitude?
With great pleasure I saw bars, crowded with chatting people, sipping coffee and propably having fika. In our village there is one bar and it’s not public. I’m not that much of a bar-person as I find it silly to pay 2,50euros for a cup of tea but I do enjoy looking at well-designed places, thoughtful interiors and balanced decoration (yeah, I’m weird).
The best designed place in our area is probably Ikea 🙂

Such small wooden houses, hard to believe it’s in the middle of the city.

I love how we can just blend in for a day, explore and wander around. Taking home energy, questions and confusion. Aka: new inspiration 🙂Wednesday Wanderings (09)| A day in Södermalm, Stockholm | Wanderlust Sweden | www.Fenne.be Wednesday Wanderings (09)| A day in Södermalm, Stockholm | Wanderlust Sweden | www.Fenne.be
