I planned on taking some more picture, I really did, but then I arrived at the expo, saw a friend from school again whom I hadn’t seen in 20 years and ended up drawing the models the rest of the afternoon. Yes I tried to resist for a while, knowing there was also a band playing, lots of people and other things to do, … but no, all those things couldn’t compete with those fascinating models.

Except for the wandering marker lines in my sketchbook, I did buy one of the books of Serge Baeken: Sugar. An intriguing masterpiece/ graphic novel about the life of cats. I might be a dog person first, but the way this book is made is just so refreshing with clean lines that never get sterile, the play of perspective and of course also the story itself although there are some sad parts too.
This book was on my want-list for a while now, and it must have been waiting for a reason because now I have a signed version! 😀
